Affectionately called Lady Joi, Pastor Ayisha is a dedicated mother, faithful wife, whose passion for people exudes from the core of her being. Her upbringing provided her the foundation for ministry, love of people, music and prophetic ministry. In 1999, she met her husband, Pastor TR not knowing that her marriage would become a model for young marriages, as they have been granted the opportunity to serve as marriage mentors to many young married and engaged couples. First becoming friends with her husband, later falling in love with him, then after eleven years of friendship committed her life to him in marriage.
She attended the State University of New York at Albany with a triple major in Math, Music, and Business Administration. She holds Master’s of Religious Leadership with a concentration in Worship and Music, and a Master of Theology from Candler School of Theology, Emory University. With over 20 years of musical experience and a Bachelors of Arts in Music Theory, Pastor Ayisha has developed a keen and sensitive ear for all things pertaining to choral performance. Because of her devout love of music and the arts, in 2001, she began to involve herself in theatrical pieces. Behind the scenes, she worked as the music director for Footloose, performed in 2003 by Plattsburgh Theater Group of Plattsburgh, NY.
Desiring to also experience the other side of the theater, she has classically trained in the art of ballet, tap, jazz, and African Dance. Being captivated by the emotion that was involved in perfecting the talent of dance, Ayisha combined that passion and drive with her passion for ministry and Rhema Karar (right now dance) was birthed in 2007. Through this dance ministry, men, women and children have been uplifted, changed, and completely set free from low self-esteem, low self-worth, and the inability to say “I Can do ALL Things through Christ that Strengthens me,” Phil. 4:13.
